BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH

My first golf experience was at the age of 7, in my backyard, with 4 plastic clubs accompanied by a handful of plastic white balls. Shortly thereafter, my father upgraded me to a set of real golf clubs and I was enrolled in the New Seabury Junior clinics. I quickly became drawn to the game and thrived off of putting, chipping, and hitting competitions that were played within the junior clinics. My very first tournament was the New Seabury Junior Clinic Championship. As I held the first place trophy in my hands, I was immediately enthralled with the sense of competition. As a young girl—I did not realize it at the time—I was unique in my unlimited interest in golf. Very few girls are interested in golf at a young age without the driving force of their parents. At age 10, I began to expand my tournament schedule beyond New Seabury. I entered Cape Cod Junior Golf tournaments and started playing in the Women’s Golf Association of Massachusetts (WGAM) events. I won my first regional tournament, the CYO in Canton, MA, at 13 years old. That same year, I began playing in national events, which included the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA)—the premiere junior golf league.

I organized an extensive schedule of local, regional, and national tournaments during the summer months of high school. I traveled to many different places around the country and was able to experience the highest level of junior girls’ competitive golf.

After being recruited by many top colleges and universities for golf, I made the decision to attend Georgetown University for its strong academics. Out of the 40 collegiate events I competed in during my 4 years at Georgetown, I collected 2 wins, 10 top-5, 20 top-10, and 26 top-20 finishes. I received 2 Big East All-Conference team selection awards and 3 Big East All-Conference scholar awards. I was named Co-Captain of the golf team my senior year and I was also named Georgetown Women’s Golf Most Valuable Player (MVP) 3 times in a row.

Through my gradual improvements as a golfer and my successes as an amateur player, I am eager to dedicate even more to my golf game and advance to the next level of competitive golf.

I would not be where I am today without the support of my family. The unconditional love and encouragement from my family has made bad rounds less painful and good rounds feel even better. Along with my family, I attribute much of my growth and success to the many influential people who have worked hard to help me learn more about golf and about my own golf game.
